Jacques Johan Fouché is an experienced educator, school leader, trainer, and mentor with almost three decades of experience in teaching, school management, educational technology, and institutional development. He holds a B.A. in Industrial Psychology and Sociology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from UNISA, and recently completed the Principal Academy leadership development programme through the University of Cape Town.
He has served in a range of educational roles, including teacher, IT coordinator, senior manager, and principal. His professional experience includes curriculum support, staff development, school improvement planning, digital systems implementation, parent engagement, governance, and operational leadership.
As Principal of Mary Help of Christians Primary School, Jacques has led key areas of school development, including academic planning, compliance processes, safeguarding systems, infrastructure improvement, and the strengthening of the school’s Catholic ethos. He has a particular strength in leadership, training, mentorship, and child safeguarding, with a focus on building safer, more accountable, and values-based school environments.
Jacques is currently the Chairperson of the Catholic Schools Principals’ Forum Executive for the Western Cape and represents the region on the Joint Leadership Council. He is also the founder of SentinelSG, an organisation focused on safeguarding, training, and institutional support. His broader professional focus is on principled leadership, institutional improvement, staff development, child safeguarding, and the responsible use of technology to support effective education.
Michael Francois Fouche is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades. He began his career in teaching and gradually ascended to leadership roles, showcasing his proficiency in instructional design, curriculum development, and school management. His tenure as Principal at Holy Cross High School (2016–2023) was marked by transformative leadership, including overhauling assessment frameworks, implementing robust governance policies, and achieving full UMALUSI accreditation for the institution. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Principal at The Vaal High School, where he honed his expertise in managing diverse educational portfolios and mentoring educators through curriculum transitions, from Nated 550 to CAPS.
Michael’s dedication to professional growth is evident through his diverse qualifications, including a B.Sc. in Zoology and Biochemistry, Honours in Zoology, and a B.Ed. in Educational Management. His recent roles as Learning Designer at Construct Education and Senior Education Specialist at the Cape Teaching and Leadership Institute further demonstrate his commitment to innovative educational practices and technology integration. A proponent of restorative justice and holistic education, Michael combines his leadership acumen, technological proficiency, and passion for mentorship to foster inclusive and forward-thinking learning environments.
